Viewers have voiced their frustration since the images emerged
The public's response to Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield's alleged 'queue jump' has caused ITV bosses to worry the duo will be booed at the National Television Awards . The 'This Morning' presenters faced a backlash after pictures of them at Queen Elizabeth II's lying-in-state emerged and accusations flew about them jumping the queue.
In an ITV statement, it said: "Phillip and Holly had full accreditation which was organised by the This Morning production team. Any claims otherwise are untrue." The duo has since faced a public petition calling for them to be sacked as presenters of This Morning and have been trolled mercilessly since the footage showed them being taken through to Westminster Hall to film a segment for the daytime TV show, as thousands waited for hours in the queue outside.
Neither presenter has spoken publicly to the camera about the incident, which has been dubbed 'queuegate', but Holly returned to social media to support Loose Woman Kaye Adams' debut on Strictly Come Dancing.
