Soap fans are going to be disappointed.
Emmerdale fans will be disappointed to hear that tonight's trip to the Dales has been postponed amid the World Cup coverage. The ITV soap usually airs every weeknight at 7.30pm, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.
The next episode of Emmerdale will air on Tuesday, November 22 at 7pm, and it’s an hour long so fans won't have to wait too long. The FIFA World Cup continues tonight but once again it presents issues for fans of soaps - particularly Yorkshire favourite Emmerdale. As we’ve previously reported, ITV’s shared coverage of the men’s World Cup means fans of Emmerdale and rival Coronation Street will experience disruption to their enjoyment of the soaps. Tonight, Monday, November 21, neither soap will air as ITV will instead be broadcasting the USA vs Wales game - with coverage beginning at 6.05pm. On Tuesday, November 22, there will be an hour-long episode of Emmerdale from 7pm.On Wednesday, November 23, Emmerdale will air another hour episode at 7pm.
On Thursday, November 24, fans will see Emmerdale air for an hour at 7pm, followed by Coronation Street, which will be broadcast at 8pm for an hour. On Friday, November 25, there will be no soaps as ITV is broadcasting the England vs USA game from 6.05pm. Over on the BBC, fans of EastEnders will also face disruption this week.
