More than 200 visitors came to watch the annual Perseid meteor shower Aug. 12-13. It is the one night of the year when the public can camp out all night at the park to witness celestial wonders.
Visitors to Observatory Park in Geauga County wait to view the Perseid meteor shower and other celestial wonders Aug. 12. The location is an internationally recognized "dark sky park" that is ideal for viewing the night skies. There were sightings of meteors, planets, galaxies and a a supermoon.
