Terry Francona wraps up 11 years as manager of Guardians.

CLEVELAND, Ohio — Today, Cleveland Guardians manager, Terry Francona will be in the dugout for the last time, chewing a ton of bubble gum as Cleveland finishes its two-game home stand with the Cincinnati Reds. The Guardians will finish the regular season, on the road Friday, in a three-game series against division opponent Detroit.
After 11 years, four division titles, six trips to the playoffs and one World Series appearance, Francona decided it was time to step down as manager, due at least partially for health reasons. As a manager, Francona was a perfect fit in Cleveland with its small-market budget because of his ability to get the most out of his players. He made a tough job appear easy.
