It’s possible that the car wasn’t put in park and rolled down into the kudzu and into deep vegetation, where it was found.
The Alabama baby reported kidnapped late Monday was found safe in her father’s car across the street from where the SUV was reported stolen. Police said Tuesday that 9-month-old Harlow Darby Freeman likely wasn’t abducted, nor the SUV stolen. Instead, it’s possible that the car wasn’t put in park and rolled down into the kudzu and into deep vegetation, where it was found.
“We’re just not sure yet,” Parrish police Chief Danny Woodard said, adding that there is no danger to the community. Freeman was taken to a hospital in Birmingham as a precaution. She was dehydrated, but reportedly in good condition. Her aunt toldthat the family was “feeling ecstatic” after the find. Thinking she was kidnapped, Harlow’s family had offered a $5,000 reward, according to AL.com.
