The Gaza Strip will not be supplied with any electricity, water or fuel until hostages are freed, Israel has said. The country is preparing for the 'next stages of the war', with the military ready for a ground assault, according to a defence official.

With Israel now laying siege to the territory, allowing nothing to go in or out, supplies of food, water, energy and medical equipment may only last for days.
The UN says they have already reached capacity and it is now having to shelter people at health centres instead.This leaves people to flee to the homes of friends or families instead if they can. Many have fled towards Gaza City, upon the advice of the Israeli government and because it's usually the safest place to be.Mr Shalabi says that's not the case this time.
