The Gaza Strip will not be supplied with any electricity, water or fuel until hostages are freed, Israel has said. The country is preparing for the 'next stages of the war', with the military ready for a ground assault, according to a defence official.

By Daniel Dunford, senior data journalist, and Saywah Mahmood and Joely Santa Cruz, data journalistsHundreds of thousands of Palestinians have been forced to leave their homes in the Gaza Strip. Many have fled towards Gaza City, upon the advice of the Israeli government and because it's usually the safest place to be.Mr Shalabi says that's not the case this time.
