The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced Thursday that inspections are planned for next week on the Interstate 83 bridges spanning Dew Drop Road, Seaks Run Road and Forrest Avenue in York County. Weather permitting, the I-83 bridge spanning Dew Drop Road near Exit 15 in York Township will be inspected July 17. A lane restriction will be in place between Associates Drive and Pine Grove Road, with flaggers providing traffic control. The eastbound lane will be closed from 9 to 11 a.m. and the westbound lane will be closed from noon to 2 p.m., a press release said.The I-83 bridge spanning Seaks Run Road at Exit 8 in Springfield Township will be inspected July 18.
The I-83 bridge spanning Forrest Avenue at Exit 4 near Shrewsbury will be inspected July 19. A lane restriction will be in place in each direction between Mount Airy Road and Wolfe Road from 9:00 AM-2:00 PM, with flaggers providing traffic control. Only one direction will be restricted at a time.Motorists can check conditions on major roadways by visiting.
