EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Ten thoughts on the Colts' 38-10 loss to the Giants at MetLife Stadium:
3. Let's start with the beginning of the game. The Colts showed some sound defense, as they have most of this season, and pitched a first-quarter shutout against a Giants offense that's incredibly well-schemed but not the most talented. They again struggled to move the ball with the backfield of Nick Foles and Zack Moss. But they did have a moment, following a highlight-reel jump ball catch from Parris Campbell, to find the end zone and an early touchdown lead.
6. OK, let's get back to the game. It was unfortunate to see Nick Foles get blasted by Kayvon Thibodeaux on the latest free rusher to crush the Colts this season. More unfortunate was watching Thibodeaux doing snow angels beside a quarterback he just injured. Not a good look for the Giants' top draft pick. But for the Colts, this is an embodiment of their season, as they keep putting quarterbacks in impossible situations.
