Orbital Assembly Corporation is planning to build Voyager Station and Pioneer Station, two space hubs in the sky. The company says its space stations are the future of space tourism.
Space hops have become more commonplace over the past year, with Virgin Galactic, Blue Origin and Elon Musk's company SpaceX organizing trips.
. But Alatorre suggests the ISS is primarily a place of work and research, and Orbital Assembly's space hotel fulfills a different niche. "Our environment isn't just Earth, it's the entire solar system. And there's so many resources out there, as we start to utilize and capitalize on those resources that's going to change and improve the standard of living here on Earth."
