Wilfried Gnonto and Luis Sinisterra returned to Leeds United team training this week and Daniel Farke has lifted the lid on how they were welcomed back by their team-mates
Second chances will be given out by Leeds United’s players to Wilfried Gnonto much in the way Daniel Farke has offered a reprieve this week. The wantaway Italian and Luis Sinisterra were both returned to first-team training by the manager this week as the reintegration process starts.
After Gnonto and Sinisterra failed to be involved in United’s loss at Birmingham City they were kicked out of the dressing room and team training. They would both miss the West Bromwich Albion draw, but in the days after that there has been a breakthrough. As well as winning over Farke and the supporters, Gnonto and Sinisterra will each hope to be welcomed back by their team-mates, who would be within their rights to feel let down over the past few weeks. Farke was asked about how the team reacted this week upon their return.
“Professional,” he said. “We are really happy to have the quality of players like Luis and also Willy back. They take it professional and wait for their reaction on the pitch, how hard and how good they train.“The behaviour in the group was always good. So in general, Luis was a different topic [it] was not a problem at all.
“It’s always good to have a player with the quality of them both back in training and something that's also more like a major boost.”
