A scary scene unfolded following a Pennsylvania high school basketball game Friday.

, Mars and South Fayette had just wrapped up their game at Mars Friday evening when an incident involving a weapon was reported. That reportedly prompted the players and coaches to barricade themselves in rooms in the school’s lower level.

Mars Area School District Superintendent Dr. Mark Gross posted a statement to the district’s website Friday that said “an incident involving a weapon occurred” after the game in the school’s parking lot. He said the person with the weapon was apprehended and was not a Mars Area Student.
