Jacob Krzemski, 39, was charged with murdering his girlfriend, Corina Lee, but prosecutors conceded they couldn’t prove the case.
OAKLAND — Months after charging a Livermore man with murdering his girlfriend by beating her in the head, Alameda County prosecutors dropped the case, writing in court records that new evidence on the alleged victim’s cause of death made murder impossible to prove.
Despite the dropped murder charge, Krzemski remains in legal trouble; he was found in violation of the restraining order and is currently in North Kern State Prison with a projected release date in October. He was transferred from Santa Cruz County jail to the prison on June 29. Clark said when she contacted the medical examiner who performed Lee’s autopsy, she was told there was no evidence Lee sustained a fatal injury within one day of her death, as police had claimed.
