Manchester Pride 2023 is finally here
If we were to describe summer 2023 the words drab, grey and wet would come to mind.
While blue skies might be a bit of a stretch, the rainbow flags billowing in the wind, multi-coloured decorations and utterly fabulous outfits - think 'Barbiecore', cowboy boots and plenty of glitter - brought some much-needed colour to the city centre as the Gay Village Party officially got underway.
This year's event, running from August 25-28, promises to be all about Pride's community and activist roots, and of course, the party too. Headliners taking to thewill include Danny Beard, Jake Shears, Alison Goldfrapp, Pabllo Vittar, BIMINI, Lisa Scott-Lee, Lucky Roy Singh, Cheddar Gorgeous, Black Peppa, Ginny Lemon and plenty more.
“It just shows the level of which we’ve been able to create space for all members of our community. To be able to talk about this just solidifies the message that there truly is a place for everybody when celebrating their identity at Manchester Pride.”
