A popular Glasgow butcher has today announced its shock closure.
The shop made the announcement on Facebook, writing:"It is with sadness that Sandy Smith Butchers will not be reopening at Drumoyne Road.
"We would like to thank everyone who’s supported us over the last 25 years. Glasgow City property has basically made it impossible for us to survive trading at the premises."Anyone who has money in our savings club can private message or telephone 07960005294Customers have been left 'saddened' by the 'huge loss'.
Taking to the post, one person wrote:"So sorry to hear this, sandy and guys, can't believe it. You were the best butchers round here." Another said:"That’s absolutely shocking.
