Imhotep's basketball player Justin Edwards announces his commitment to Kentucky over Tennessee with his mom Ebony Twiggs at right and his sister Akira Twiggs at left at the cafeteria in Imhotep. Monday July 22, 2022Forward Justin Edwards has committed to play basketball at the University of Kentucky, as a part of the 2023 class, he announced on Monday evening at Imhotep Charter High School., had a number of offers on the table, including the G League, Auburn, Villanova, Maryland, and Kansas.
“My mom played overseas,” Edwards said. “She had to sacrifice a lot for me, so this is just me paying her back.” “It takes a village to raise a kid and we couldn’t ask anything more of Justin,” said Team Final coach Aaron Burt. “This is your legacy and you made it grow. Thank you for having us a part of it.”
