The supermarket giant has a huge range of frozen food goodies including party food, pizzas, desserts, ready meals and more. It often has new and intriguing releases that entice shoppers who are willing to try something different.
But its latest release has more than a touch of nostalgia about it, with one person saying they loved eating something similar at school. Iceland has released new SPAM Cheesy Fritters, which are £2.25 for a packet containing two. The fritters are made with SPAM pieces and cheese filling, in a light, crispy batter.Posting about the new release, Instagram food blogger Kev’s Snack Reviews, said: “New SPAM Cheesy Fritters! Available from @icelandfoods.
Instagram “I haven’t had SPAM since I was a kid, but these are actually rather good. The SPAM centre is pretty firm with the classic pork and ham taste and the cheese works well with it. There’s a good amount of batter without overdoing it. They make for a filling meal along with beans and curly fries! Would get these again”.
Others were quick to show an interest. Tooshka2 said: “I loved spam fritters at school in the 60’s. Going to try for sure!!!” pandas_eats added: “These look quite interesting! My dad would love”.
