The Romanian has left the Light Blues on a season-long loan deal to La Liga as he bids to land consistent first team minutes after struggling to break into Michael Beale's side.
The Romanian has swapped Ibrox for life in La Liga after signing up for a season-long loan at Alaves. The Light Blues attacker spent close to a year on the sidelines through injury but upon his return has been unable to force his way back into Michael Beale's plans.
The 24-year-old, who has scored 16 goals in 99 appearances since making the move to the club, expressed his love for the supporters as part of an exit message online. That has sparked some confusion with fans with many quick to remind him he is only away on a loan deal as he roared 'Once a Ranger, always a Rangers.' The likes of Antonio Colak and Nicolas Raskin paid tribute to their good pal and veteran Davis has now shared his views.
