Urslaan Khan got the shock of his life when he checked his phone
Urslaan Khan, 41, had just £1 in his account when he went to sleep but woke to £122,000. He immediately contacted the bank ‘Gatehouse’ following the mistake.
He said: “I had £1 in my savings account. I’d set up a standing order where £200 is meant to drop from there into my current account. Unfortunately, the dream was not to be and the bank later informed Urslaan that the money was a mistake on their part and asked him to return it a day later. After said mistake, Urslaan returned the money and believed it was meant for another customer who has two accounts.
"I'd be set up for life if I had kept it. But, if I was going to keep the money, I wouldn't have told anyone!"
