I made the viral Iceland salt and pepper chicken dippers with curry sauce that the retailer shared to its followers - but there is just one thing I would change about the recipe.
Iceland shared the video of the salt and pepper chicken dippers to their 163,000 followers earlier this week and it’s safe to say people were going crazy for the simple meal as the video has already racked up nearly 70,000 views - along with thousands of likes and comments. The recipe includes using an air fryer and I was keen to see whether the device would help me on my quest for the perfect fakeaway.
First, you dice the onion and pepper. Once chopped, add the chicken dippers to the air fryer, along with the onion and pepper, before adding however much Chinese five spice and chilli flakes your heart desires - for me this was a lot as I love spicy food. Put your air fryer on 200 degrees and cook for 12 minutes.
Iceland stock Mayflower Chinese curry sauce mix. You simply add 85g of the curry powder to 340ml of cold water and heat in a pan before letting it come to the boil and then simmering for two minutes.
