Hundreds of Amazon workers protested the company last week due to meager pay and unfair treatment.and start reading now.An anonymous Amazon worker, whose identity Insider has verified, is one of many striking across the UK this month.The worker, who took part in a walkout at a warehouse we are not naming to avoid identification, says"You're treated more like a number, or a piece of data, than an actual person."I started working at Amazon in 2017. Initially, it was quite good.

You'd go to a manager and say: 'Do you want me to follow the rules, or do you want the order out on time?' Their response would be: 'I want the customer order out on time.' When one manager comes in, sometimes they're more lenient in some areas and stricter in others. They're always trying to put their imprint on things.

They give you a three-year anniversary bonus which is an extra 25p an hour, and a five-year, which is another 25p. Currently I'm on £10.25 . Soon I'll be making £11 an hour.
