The White House remains adamant the DOJ remains independent, despite an IRS official seeking whistleblower status who is alleging the administration is mishandling a federal investigation into Hunter Biden.

The whistleblower is a career IRS criminal supervisory special agent who claims he has been managing “the ongoing and sensitive investigation” of a “high-profile” and “controversial subject” since early 2020.
