Hundreds of mourners in Israel gathered at the funeral of Lucy Dee, the British-Israeli mother who was killed with two of her daughters in a shooting in the occupied West Bank last week
Among them was Lital Valenci, a 51-year-old woman, who received a heart transplant, and a 58-year-old woman who underwent a lung transplant. Other patients received liver and kidney transplants.The Jerusalem Post
: “I have been doing transplants for many years and am very moved by the strength of the donor family, the unimaginable nobility at a time of such a terrible tragedy.” The Dee family were travelling in one of three cars on their way to Tiberias in the Galilee for a family holiday when they were shot.during the rare convergence of Ramadan, Passover and Easter.
