It took just shy of a minute for Humza Yousaf’s first FMQs to be suspended after protesters began shouting at Scottish Tory leader Douglas Ross.
The public gallery had to be cleared after the six disruptions plunged Yousaf’sFive of the breaks in the first 15 minutes were down to a group of reportedly climate change protesters who shouted at Ross as he quizzed Yousa.
But this wasn’t the last time. She was forced four more times to pause FMQs as the group of protesters constantly hurled remarks towards Ross. When the protesters started shouting again, Ross said, ‘here we go’, as Johnstone suspended proceedings again. Five minutes later once it has been cleared the Presiding Officer said: ‘I don’t think I can adequately express my deep regret that action was required in our national parliament.
