The money will go towards tackling hunger in Greater Manchester
Founder of local food bank Humans MCR has thanked Manchester Evening News readers for their generosity after our Christmas appeal has raised over £3,000 for the cause.
You, our readers, have generously donated over £3,000 so far to this vitally important cause. The money will go towards helping families in the tough, dark months after Christmas - a time of year that is usually challenging for the charity, as donations dry up and people tighten their purse strings. Co-founder of Humans MCR, Lewey Hellewell, said: "We are absolutely bowled over by the support that we have had so far. We're really grateful to everyone who has donated.
