Humane Pa. celebrates "National Adopt a Senior Pet Month" by waiving adoption feesNovember is "National Adopt a Senior Pet Month," and Humane Pennsylvania is celebrating by waiving all adoption fees for senior shelter pets.
National Adopt a Senior Pet Month was started in hopes of reminding people to "consider opening their homes and heart to an older shelter pet in need." According to Humane Pennsylvania, from Nov. 1 through till Nov. 30, dogs and cats over the age of 10 at the Berks and Lancaster County adoption centers will be 100% free to "safe, loving homes."
Not only will these pets be free, but adoption also includes several services and additional supplies for you and your new furry friend:Vaccinations and de-worming medicationThe cost of adoption is being covered by Lancaster Plumbing, Heating, Cooling & Electrical, a local business in the area. “Lancaster Plumbing, Heating, Cooling, & Electrical is supporting this effort because we believe in giving back to the community and are passionate about animal welfare,” said LHP Managing Partner, Jenna Kaufman. “We see this event as an opportunity to promote the benefits of pet adoption and build a stronger, more passionate community. Pets bring immense joy and companionship to our lives, and we want to facilitate the process of providing them with a loving home.
