On Wednesday, September 14, the streaming service will release the first two installments inSeason 5. New episodes will follow weekly. The series is adapted from the award-winning, best-selling novel of the same name by Margaret Atwood. It currently stars Emmy and Golden Globe Award-winning actress Elisabeth Moss, as well as Yvonne Strahovski, Samira Wiley, Ann Dowd, Max Minghella, Madeline Brewer, O-T Fagbenle, and Amanda Brugel.
“June faces consequences for killing Commander Waterford while struggling to redefine her identity and purpose,” reads the synopsis. “The widowed Serena attempts to raise her profile in Toronto as Gilead’s influence creeps into Canada. Commander Lawrence works with Nick and Aunt Lydia as he tries to reform Gilead and rise in power. June, Luke, and Moira fight Gilead from a distance as they continue their mission to save and reunite with Hannah.
