Michael Thorbjornsen was the very first golfer to tee off at the U.S. Open Thursday in Brookline, Massachusetts, just a few miles from where he grew up.

Historian of The Country Club in Brookline Fred Waterman takes us through the storied past of the site of the 2022 U.S. Open.

Several golf titans were scheduled to tee off shortly after Thorbjornsen, including last year's U.S. Open champion, Jon Rahm; 2011 U.S. Open champion Rory McIlroy and Vermont’s Keegan Bradley. But Thorbjornsen is trying not to let all that hype get in his head.
