All this is just to say that I think I can objectively speak some to the differences between the two ways to view this piece.over two days one can, in the interim, ruminate research and discuss specific aspects of the plot and production. Lopez's writing is rich in detail and things move quickly, so you might miss some of those details here and there.
Margaret and Leo share flowers and a few stories in"The Inheritance." At 89, Smith has that special something that enables her to hold your attention in the theater.. The first line of the play is:"He has a story to tell." And the rest of the play is about him finding a way to tell it. This is encapsulated perfectly inwith the entry of Margaret, who is played by Lois Smith. One might expect or even heard that Smith has little more than a cameo. She does not.
