The concert will air on CNN on Sunday, June 19, 2022.
The show is being produced by Black creators at Live Nation Urban and Jesse Collins Entertainment, according to CNN.
Performers will include Khalid, Earth, Wind & Fire, The Roots, Lucky Daye, Jhené Aiko, Robert Glasper, Killer Mike, Billy Porter, Mary Mary, Anthony Hamilton, Michelle Williams, Mickey Guyton, the Debbie Allen Dance Academy and more. Thomas Wilkins and Derrick Hodge will lead the Re-Collective Orchestra, marking the first-ever performance of an all-Black symphony orchestra in the Hollywood Bowl’s 100-year history.
“This is the most important event we’ve ever produced at Live Nation Urban,” said Live Nation Urban President Shawn Gee. “It’s a moment to celebrate and reflect on Black independence and the Black experience. It’s also a moment to raise awareness and shine light on the miles we still need to travel to true equity. We hope to see you there.”
