As long as a registration card is postmarked by Oct. 11, it will count, Elections Administrator Jacque Callanen said.She added that this year’s 30-day registration period would have fallen on Columbus Day, which moves the deadline to the following day. She said the elections office, 1103 South Frio St., will have extended hours and be open until 6 p.m. on the last day to register.
