UCF pulled within one point with less than three minutes left before the Cougars held on for a 71-65 win. Most recently, USF hung around for most of the second half before the Cougars pulled away for an 83-77 win.
In the only loss of the season, the Cougars wasted a 15-point second-half lead in a 71-65 loss to Alabama.
