The Department for Communities has issued advice to benefit claimants regarding payments over the Easter weekend period
.
It has said that those who are due to receive payments during the Easter period will still get them by the original date they are due. This is because benefits payments operate on a different payment system and that none should be issued late to any claimaints. The Department said: "If your payment is due on April 7, 10 or 11, you will still be paid by that date.
"All benefits operate on different payment systems but you will not receive your payment later than the day it would normally be due." For all the latest news, visit the Belfast Live homepage here and sign up to our daily newsletter here.
