Heavy rain and gusty winds are on the horizon in Greater Manchester
Greater Manchester is set to face fierce weather this week with gusts of more than 40mph winds predicted to hit the city-region in the next couple of days.
The weather warning, which covers the west side of Greater Manchester including Trafford, Wigan and Bolton, will come into force at 3pm on Tuesday and last until 6am the following morning.The Met Office has warned that the warnings could lead to potential travel disruption and the possibility of large waves in coastal areas. In Manchester, current weather forecasts predict some heavy rain and gusty winds as high as 41mph on Tuesday evening.
