Hundreds of program graduates gathered on Saturday to celebrate their progress in addiction recovery.
OCEAN SPRINGS, Miss. - Ricky Reed is from Atmore, Alabama and was at the Home of Grace for six and a half months last year. He shares that he recently graduated from the third phase of the program.
“As long as I’m serving the lord walking with him, I don’t have to worry about the devil pulling me down and taking me down the same old road I was going down,” says Reed.He says the program always has room for those struggling in silence. “There’s an empty chair out front, and they call that the loveseat. They have that at every graduation and that represents the person that’s still sick and suffering and out in the world. We got a spot for them at Home of Grace,” Peeples says.“They come from everywhere.
Following the service, alumni were able to revisit the men’s and women’s campuses where their lives were changed. “I’ve been in recovery for many years and I went through another Christ-centered program, and comparing the two, the one that I went to was nothing like this.
