Holy book set alight outside Leeds Sikh man's home as police investigating hate crime
Police are investigating a hate crime in Leeds after a Sikh holy text was set on fire and put in a bin outside a Sikh person's house.
The family brought the burnt text to their Gurdwara Sahib to ask for help and support and a member of the community got in contact with West Yorkshire Police. They are treating this incident as a hate crime and are investigating.West Yorkshire Police said: "A representative of the local Sikh community reported that a holy text had been found damaged outside a Sikh community member’s address in St Anne’s Road on Wednesday, July 12.
