Hollyoaks star Steph Davis' was unable to 'leave the house without a drink' after autism triggered 'severe social anxiety'
Stephanie Davis has opened up about how her autism triggered “severe social anxiety” and left unable to “leave the house without a drink”.
“Before I was diagnosed with high-functioning autism, drinking was the only thing I knew,” Stephanie, who is now sober, exclusively tells OK!. He was convicted of attacking Steph in their Merseyside home while she was holding their son, who was then eight weeks old. “I saw that as my medicine, it was my best friend, but in the end it destroyed me to the point I wanted to take my own life.”
