A 10-year-old boy riding his bike at the intersection of Bailey Road and Coach Drive was badly injured Thursday morning in a hit-and-run collision, Naperville police said.
The female driver of a silver sedan believed involved in the 7:05 a.m. crash is being sought by police, a news release said.The child was taken to a local hospital for “treatment of significant but non-life-threatening injuries,” the release said.
Police did not know the make or model of the car that struck the boy other than the driver was described as a woman and the vehicle last seen heading east on Bailey Road from Coach Drive, the release said.Anyone who may have witnessed the crash or has additional information is asked to call the police department’s traffic unit at 630-420-6725.
