A High Street clothing store is in its final day of trading after a fashion chain entered administration.
, another 14 M&Co outlets closed yesterday, more are set to follow suit tomorrow, and it appears likely all the rest will be shut by the end of the month.
The Rickmansworth location posted a"seven days to go" countdown on its Facebook page on April 14 and then shared adverts for “last chance to shop” 80% off deals in store over the following days.M&Co, which was founded in Scotland in 1961, was one of the largest privately-owned fashion retailers in the UK. It specialises in womenswear, menswear, kidswear, and homeware.
In 2020, 47 stores were culled, leaving 218 open as part of a “major restructuring” designed to secure the company’s long-term future.
