The public transport company said the road was “currently closed until 12.00pm” at 9.33am, but the emergency works permit allows Thames Water to keep the road shut until midnight. Thames Water has been contacted for an expected reopening time and more information.A spokesperson for Hertfordshire County Council said: “Thames Water are carrying out some emergency repair works on High Street, Watford, this morning, which is why the road is closed.
According to Passenger Transport, the following buses will have their route impacted by the closure: 9, 306, 319, 346, 346A, 352, 385, 385A, 398, 508, 602, 635, R2, W1, and W20.
