Kojima Productions has threatened legal action after being falsely linked to the assassination of former Japanese prime minister Shinzo Abe.

Security arrested 41-year-old Tetsuya Yamagami, who admitted to shooting Abe with a homemade gun, but inaccurate social media posts soon sprung up, misidentifying game designer Hideo Kojima as the shooter.
