Arrowhead has already confirmed that it will focus on balancing, and the Helldivers 2 developer has shared new details about a massive flamethrower buff that is on the way. The next Helldivers 2 update will officially arrive on September 17th.
The community manager explained that the flamethrower will be receiving a 33% damage buff. This is fantastic news for players who have felt that the weapon is underpowered, especially compared to bots using the flamethrower. In addition to a 33% damage buff, the “flamer mechanics will be reverted to the state before the Escalation of Freedom update”. This means “flame based weapons can now damage heavier enemies like Chargers, Bile Titans, Impalers, and Hulks”.
