The 25-year-old was charged Monday with aggravated and simple assault.
Court documents said Darwin A. Flores Sanchez, 25, stabbed his cousin in the chest and shoulders around 5:45 a.m. Sunday at Flores Sanchez’s home on the 1800 block of Walnut Street. The cousin was taken to Penn State Holy Spirit Hospital in critical condition but is expected to survive, according to police.
Flores Sanchez beat his other cousin, causing him severe swelling and cuts to his face, according to an affidavit of probable cause. The cousin who was beaten up told police Flores Sanchez became upset with him when the cousin said he was leaving Flores Sanchez’s home Sunday morning. An argument erupted, and Flores Sanchez started beating his cousin when his cousin told him to calm down, the affidavit said.
Flores Sanchez is still at large as of Tuesday. He is charged with one count each of aggravated and simple assault. If you purchase a product or register for an account through one of the links on our site, we may receive compensation.
