A fire hazard warning around children's costumes has been issued for those planning to attend the Halloween festival in Derry.
But the local council has spoken out to warn parents about the potential risks posed by Halloween costumes and accessories, in order to reduce the risk to children. "We want to issue a reminder to parents regarding the importance of purchasing from a recognised supplier and actively checking for the necessary labelling, warnings and CE mark when the costume is clearly intended for children.
