Sensitive data leak and hashrate limit removal part of hacking group demands

, which was the first to introduce a limiter, although that was circumvented with a leaked driver. Since then, though, all Nvidia third party RTX 3000-series cards have had hashrate limiters employed that hard-lock mining performance at around half what the card could usually do.

These light hashrate or LHR cards were an attempt to increase cards available for gamers during the peak of the pandemic, with many being snapped up for crypto mining, specifically for Ethereum currency. Combined with the microchip shortage, graphics cards have had poor availability and high prices in general, but miners have received the lion's share of the blame....
