Macauley Morgan was found unresponsive in his room by a friend
Guests at a Blackpool hotel struck down by a mystery illness feared it had led to the death of a long-term resident, an inquest heard today .
On February 4, police and paramedics were called to the hotel after Macauley was found unresponsive and covered in bodily fluids by his friend Stacey Patterson that morning. She had seen Macauley the night before and had urged him to shout for her during the night if his condition deteriorated.Detectives searched Macauley's room and interviewed several people at the hotel after being advised by paramedics that he was unlikely to survive.
"On Wednesday February 1, he was paid his benefits and went out but he was struggling to walk. On getting back to the hotel Macauley decided he wanted to get some heroin to make him feel better. He stayed out because he wanted to score."
