A murder investigation and other appeals have been launched following a spate of incidents
Easter weekend saw a shocking few days of violence and tragic incidents throughout Lancashire which left four people dead and another in a 'serious but stable condition' in hospital following a stabbing.
"I would also ask people to check their dashcam, doorbell or CCTV footage to see if they have captured anything which could help our investigation. I know people will be understandably concerned by what has happened. I would like to reassure them that this is being treated as an isolated incident and there is no wider threat to the public."

Emergency services were called to the horror collision on Colne Road in Brierfield on Sunday night . Police and paramedics descended on the road at around 8.30pm. Sgt Michael Higginson, of our Road Policing Unit, said: "This collision has resulted in a man losing his life and my thoughts are very much with his loved ones at this difficult time. Although we have made two arrests, our enquiries are very much ongoing to establish what led to the collision and identify everyone involved.
The woman’s next of kin have been informed and her death is not believed to be suspicious. A file is being prepared for the coroner.An investigation has been launched after what could be human bones were found at a Lancashire beach. Police were called to Cove Road Beach in Silverdale following reports that bones had been found in the water.
