Smashing Pumpkins, Rancid, Linda Lindas open Green Day’s Saviors Tour North American dates, which includes a concert at Oracle Park in San Francisco.
SAN FRANCISCO, CA – Aug. 6: Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day performs on the Lands End stage at Outside Lands in San Francisco on Saturday.
Green Day’s The Saviors Tour — in support of the soon-to-released album of the same name — begins its North American run on July 29 at Nationals Park in Washington, DC and includes a stop in San Francisco. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is set to perform Sept. 20 at the home of the San Francisco Giants — Oracle Park.
“We’ve never been more excited to unleash new music than with Saviors, a record that’s meant to be rocked live, together. So let’s thrash. We’ve got some amazing friends who are coming along for the ride!” Green Day said in a news release. Besides showcasing new material, Green Day will also be celebrating the 30th anniversary of 1994’s Dookie, and the 20th anniversary of 2004’s “American Idiot.”).
