Running events across the weekend will include a 10k and half marathon on Sunday while a Junior and Mini event will take place on Saturday.
The Great Scottish Run kicks off today and the much anticipated event will see dozens of runners descend on Glasgow over the weekend.
Disruption to travel is expected in the city centre though with dozens of road closures in place from early Saturday morning until Sunday evening, Glasgow Live reports. The festival will include a 10k and half marathon on Sunday while a Junior and Mini event will take place on Saturday. A total of 18 roads across Glasgow will be closed as the competition gets underway.
