The Queen gives birthday tribute to Prince George as he turns 9
The 96 year old monarch’s tribute to the young Royal was posted on Friday on the official Royal Family Instagram page, with the caption: “Happy 9th Birthday Prince George!” along with a cake emoji.
The couple wrote on their joint Instagram: “Happy 9th Birthday to Prince George”, adding a cupcake emoji. The Cambridges had ventured on the seaside trip after school had broken up for George and his siblings, Princess Charlotte, seven, and four year old Prince Louis. In recent weeks, the nine year old has made appearances at events with his parents, as he attended the Wimbledon Final and the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations, getting used to public life as a Royal.
