He handed himself into police
A grandad had been to a wake in Nottingham when he stabbed a man involved in a physical tussle with his partner and her cousin. Orville Waisome had rushed back from work in Wales for the wake.
The physical altercation followed, with the victim bundled to the ground by the women, who were not prosecuted. Waisome used his work tool - a knife - in his pocket, stabbing the man twice to the chest. The incident was heavily covered by Nottinghamshire Live as an appeal was launched for witnesses and residents spoke of their shock. It resulted in Waisome handing himself in to police 11 days later.
